Native American Reservations

Native American reservation were established in 1851 to protect the culture and lifestyle of native american tribes. Reservations are a large piece of land that is managed by a Native American but the land is monitored and/ or under law of the United States Department of the Interior's Bureau of Indian Affairs. The problem that played a major role in the downfall of these reservations is that there were too many people who bought the land privately, therefore they didn't have to follow the rules and regulations of the government.
