1845 Texans reenforced the law that states Indians have no right to purchase Texan land and need to be removed from Texas which resulted in 25,000 Apaches moving elsewhere. 

December 15, 1890 When Federal troops tried to arrest Sioux Indians in Little Eagle, South Dakota. Chief Sitting Bull told his soliders (warriors) fight back and was shot and killed. Later after his death began the massacre of the Sioux at Wounded Knee.

1917 World War I began, many Native Americans did not serve in the military because they were not citizens and had no rights such as to vote. 

1999 Shannon County, South Dakota, home of the Oglala Lakota on Pine Ridge Reservation was named the poorest place in the country.
